Maxima’s expanding footprint over its 35-year history enabling a significant extension of services to new and existing clients and customers. Maxima’s scope includes Temporary and Permanent Recruitment, Apprenticeships and Traineeships, NDIS plan support coordination and health services to people living with disability through Allied Health Services, First Nations Employment Services and Specialised Employment Services including DES, NDIS and employability training. Our combined offering is one of the most extensive not-for-profit recruitment, training and employment services in Australia, employing 480 staff nationally.

The Opportunity
You must be passionate about employment services and customer-focused with existing networks in the Latrobe Valley. You will have knowledge of the local labour market and be able to build rapport quickly with potential Employers and key stakeholders.
A typical week will involve...
Working to support voluntary Victorians who are long-term unemployed or at risk of long-term unemployment, and facing multiple barriers to employment, across a broad range of cohorts including:> people with disability, multicultural communities, Victorians experiencing mental health issues and people experiencing family violence. You will be responsible for;
- Networking with potential Customers through local Expos and community organisations to choose Maxima’s services
- Working closely with Customers to assess and improve work readiness and assist with developing a tailored pathway to employment
- Providing support through our person-centred service delivery model, inspiring and motivating Customers
- Identifying and addressing employment barriers through mentoring, referral, training and individual development
- Delivering engaging In Work Support to Customers and Employers to maintain employment placements and achieve sustainable employment outcomes
- Working collaboratively with our Employment Brokers and networks/partners to actively source and secure employment opportunities
- Adaptable and responsive to community and key stakeholder needs
What you’ll need to succeed…
You will demonstrate drive and compassion, working closely with our Customers, you will inspire them and remain goal orientated to assist them to retain employment.
- Previous experience in a similar role with case management and individualised support is desirable, NOT essential – we are looking for the right attitude!
- Agility, passion and flexibility and willing to go above and beyond to change lives though employment
- A willingness to seek employment with and for disadvantaged Victorians
- A willingness to liaise, network and build strong connections with local employers
- Experience in delivering high levels of Customer service
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed KPIs
- Prior experience in working with people from a diverse range of backgrounds will be an advantage
This is a fixed-term, full-time role based in Morwell.
