About the RoleAn exciting opportunity exists for a motivated doctor interested in a career in endocrinology & diabetes. You will work with a dynamic multi-disciplinary team at Western Health. A significant component of the position involves clinical research based at Sunshine Hospital in the Endocrinology & Diabetes Unit. Additionally, attendance at four endocrinology outpatient clinics a week (diabetes, metabolic bone, endocrinology, nephrology/endocrinology) and for approximately 10 weeks a year the successful applicant will backfill the clinical work of the Footscray Hospital and Sunshine Hospital endocrinology registrars when they are on leave. The successful applicant will join the after-hours on-call Endocrinology Registrar roster (one in four).The position has accreditation as a core year in Endocrinology specialist training, and applicants must have passed the clinical FRACP examination and completed at least one year of Advanced Training. The position is designed to be a foundational year for Higher Degree Research, and a preference will be made for applicants with research interests in the field of osteoporosis and metabolic bone disorders.About UsOur workforce of over 13,000 employees are driven by our values of ‘Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Safety’ (CARES).
