The RoleDuties
As a Project Officer, you will be working on a high-impact project to help transition NSW to net-zero. Day to day duties include:
Management of large contracts with Providers to deliver energy efficiency upgrades to targeted areas. Build strong relationships with Providers and closely monitor their impact Customer and market research on technologies, customer and supplier efficiency and new initiatives. Collaborate with communications specialists, suppliers, installers and a range of stakeholders This is a Project Officer position with an initial 12 month contract, possible extension. This role is paying $65/hour + super for an 8 hour day, and has 2 days in the office per week.The Organisation and Team
You'll be working within a NSW State Government Department focused on protecting the state's environment and heritage by leading the way on a sustainable transition to a net zero economy.
You'll be working in a program within the Energy Division that helps households and businesses reduce their energy use. The program provides incentives for a range of technologies, and is providing stimulus for suppliers and installers to reach new customers and regions throughout NSW.
The first round of stimulus has recently been launched, therefore it is an exciting time to get involved!
Key Requirements
The successful candidate will exhibit:
Excellent stakeholder and project management skills Excellent ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a broad audience and build partnerships Background in Engineering, Science or State Government 3+ year's experience in renewable energy, energy efficiency or resource efficiency will be highly regarded Experience operating with certificate based schemes for energy efficiency will be a bonus!
