As a Wind and Solar Resource Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the processes related to tendering for meteorological stations and all activities in relation to onshore wind and solar measurement campaigns, including planning, installation, maintenance, repair, data management, data analysis and contracts management for wind resource assessment power curve measurements, noise assessment, cloud server database, development of technology across the company.
The main objective of the role is to ensure the quality of meteorological data collected with the fleet of Energy Resource monitoring stations keeping the installations, maintenances, and decommissioning as required for the progress of the various renewable energy in the Iberdrola Australia portfolio, adapting them to the criteria demanded by Iberdrola Group necessary to carry out detailed electrical energy assessments for the projects to be presented developed, built and operated to generate electrical power to Australian grid.
Responsibilities Include:
-Create technical specifications based on global technical criteria and local requirements (H&S, MA, aviation, etc.)
-Estimate the needs and costs based on the expected portfolio and resource criteria
-Support the Procurement team by reviewing and comparing offers, preparing technical reports related to the offers and proposal awards
-Manage contracts for the installation, dismantling, maintenance, repair, and data management of onshore wind and solar towers for renewable energy farms to generate electric power
-Plan, coordinate, and monitor the activities of contractors, such as installation, dismantling, maintenance, calibrations, and management of incidents in the shortest possible time
-Invoice and monitor costs (follow-up, approvals and comparison to the budget and limits of the framework agreement)
-Coordinate and monitor H&S activities in accordance with Australian legislation
-Conduct site visits to select the final location (prior to installation), for installations, dismantling or repairs as required
-Manage inventory of towers, equipment, and other materials
-Monitor and validate the data and measurements of all internally installed towers or co-development towers, and conduct weekly data reviews and analysis of incidents
-Plan, execute and monitor Power Curve Verification assessment and Noise assessment for verifying Wind Turbines for renewable energy farms performance to be executed against Terms of Supply Agreement contract
-Manage and develop scripting of the Webbased system retrieving data from all our monitoring system tool (AIRe): upload data and metadata, validation, improvement, etc.
-Coordinate technical activities with global Resource teams and the Measurement Committee
Required Qualifications:
-A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
-A minimum of 5 years of experience in wind and/or solar resource assessment and monitoring systems

-Working knowledge of Australian and international design standards and codes (e.g. AS, IEC and others)
