We seek a junior to mid-level commercial lawyer to work with Katie Winterbourne and the rest of the team in our Perth office on a wide variety of matters in the resources and infrastructure sectors.
The work includes, advising on regulatory issues associated with land use, restoration, the environment and climate change, drafting agreements, assisting clients to obtain and maintain the approvals and tenure required to develop and operate a sustainable project and participating in negotiations with a range of stakeholders.

Your Experience
To be successful in this role, you must:
- have a general corporate/commercial, land law or resources background, with a strong interest in sustainability
- be qualified to practise law in Australia with a minimum of 2 years experience
- have advanced analytical and concise writing skills; and
- be motivated to understand our clients’ business risks and work with our team to develop practical solutions to challenges.
Ideally, but not required, you’ll have:
- experience in the energy, resources, projects or other commercial sectors - this may have involved working on key commercial agreements, providing regulatory advice or corporate transactional experience
- an understanding of the operation of and interactions between land, water and environmental laws and industry specific regulation such as mining or energy laws.
