Energy + Resources
Our multi-disciplinary team includes focuses on the core sectors of renewable energy, infrastructure, mining and oil and gas. Within these sectors our team advises developers, contractors, suppliers, financiers, investors and offtakers in respect of early stage project development (i.e. project structuring, land access, joint venturing/alliancing), procurement and construction, project delivery, project finance, regulatory and operations. Our specialist team all have deep experience advising on Australia’s most complex energy and resources projects.
We work on a wide range of renewable energy and storage projects (including wind, solar, battery, alternative storage and hydrogen projects), infrastructure projects (including social housing, hospitals, road and rail), mining infrastructure projects and onshore oil and gas infrastructure projects.
About you
As our successful candidate you should be able to demonstrate a desire, and the capacity, to work on high profile and technically challenging transactions. You should be an ambitious high performer, looking to work in an environment where your performance will be duly recognised and rewarded accordingly.
In addition, you will have:
- 4+ years' post admission experience in advising in the construction, infrastructure and/or energy sectors
- experience advising a range of participants in the renewable energy, infrastructure, mining and/or oil and gas sectors
- outstanding drafting skills, including experience drafting documents such as construction contracts (EPC/D&C/ECI/Alliance), operate and maintain contracts, supply agreements, offtake agreements and term sheets
- the ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- superior analytical and communication skills
- ability to work effectively with clients
