These positions are based at our Pilbara mining operations, working an 8/6 or 5/2/4/3 FIFO from Perth for applicants residing in or willing to permanently relocate to Western Australia.
We are currently looking for Expressions Of Interest for Fixed Plant Maintenance Engineers to work in dynamic, hands-on roles, based on sites throughout the Pilbara. These roles will provide maintenance, breakdown and shutdown support, in addition to technical assistance and advice on the effectiveness of maintenance practices, tactics and processes.
These roles are a great opportunity for highly motivated individuals with technical expertise to make continuous improvements to asset performance and reliability.
As a Fixed Plant Maintenance Engineer and reporting to the Fixed Plant Engineering Superintendent, you will:
- Apply your mechanical aptitude and solid grasp of engineering fundamentals across all areas of the plant
- Be familiar with Fixed Plant processing assets including crushers, screens and balance machines
- Provide technical guidance to the Fixed Plant maintenance and operations teams during operation, breakdowns, and shutdowns
- Conduct investigations into equipment and process failures
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve plant reliability and reduce maintenance costs
- Provide engineering assistance for the procurement of new equipment and components
- Administer the change management processes relating to maintenance activities
- Be responsible for the execution of capital improvement projects
- A tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience in a mechanical, maintenance, or reliability engineering role in a mining or industrial environment
- A strong focus towards safety and safe work practices
- Familiarity with equipment failure investigation (5 Whys, RCA)
- Ability to progress multiple projects simultaneously
- A solid grasp of mechanical principles to apply across all equipment types
- Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- ‘C’ class driver’s license will also be required.
