Panasonic Australia has an opportunity for a technical and knowledgeable Engineering Manager to join our Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Group (HVAC) group!The purpose of the role is to manage all engineering and technical matters for Panasonic Australia's Heat Pump products. The main focus of the role is on the Heat Pump hydronic heating/cooling system and the Heat Pump hot water system for the residential application and commercial products and applications.Key responsibilities will include:
- Support the internal sales team as well as the external stake holders (contractors, installers, consultants, business end-users etc) to properly design, install and commission the systems.
- Support both in-house service technicians and ASCs to resolve the after-sales service issues.
- Troubleshoot technical and/or product related issues directly with consumers as and when required.
- Continuously review and investigate product quality issues including field investigation and returned goods investigation.
- Continuously liaise with PAU's CS Group, service suppliers and the Marketing teams to collect information on product performance.
- Liaise with Product Domains and Factories to resolve technical issues.
- Define the training needs of the intended audience, develop a training plan, create the training contents and conduct the training activities both to internal and external stake holders.
- Support Product Marketing Managers for the future product & solution planning process from the engineering perspective.
- Support Compliance Manager to ensure that all local compliance related to Heat Pump products are organised.
- Evaluate engineering samples and opening inspection products.
- Ensure all aspects of product and service activities are completed and signed off to meet launch timelines.
- A Mechanical Engineering Qualification.
- Engineering experience with air-to-water Heat Pump products for at least 5 years.
- Full understanding of air-to-water Heat Pump products including secondary sides, including but not limited to tanks, fan coils, panel heaters, underfloor heating, thermostats.
- Microsoft office skills to at least an intermediate level.
- Ability to effectively communicate engineering and technical matters with various stakeholders with different level of expertise.
