The Role
Our mining team is expanding, and we are currently seeking experienced Mine Planning Engineers at Mt Holland. Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the integrated monthly mine plan including the mine schedules, Mine Planning and development projects, conformance to plan measurement for each month and any resulting actions.
You will also assist in monitoring the mining contractor and the review, improvement & conformance of the contractors plans & support the commercial clarification and information.
These are permanent, full-time positions on an 8:6 roster ex Perth to Mt Holland.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively lead and participate in the establishment of a health and safety culture, leading by example, and setting the required health and safety standards.
- Complete the integrated monthly planning for Mt Holland, including.
- Coordinate all inputs and assumptions (operational and maintenance) and lead the pre-planning meeting.
- Complete the plan and all reporting and roll the plan out to the business.
- Ensure compliance to plans is measured and reported with improvements and actions as needed.
- Assist in the completion of the Integrated Quarterly Planning and preparation of annual budget plans.
- Assist in reporting of all site activities including ensuring reports and measurements to budgets and forecasts are included.
- Provide input into relevant budget and expenditure.
Role Requirements
- 2-5 years’ experience in open pit, hard rock mining operations and Mine Planning, preferably with lithium exposure.
- Drill and blast experience.
- Experience managing complex mining contracts.
- Mine software skills.
