We are now seeking a full time Production Engineer to join our team and work closely with the Managing Director and operations teams to streamline our processes, implement new technologies and elevate our brand and reputation. This role would see you making your mark in manufacturing Production Engineering, with the opportunity to use your passion and innovation to implement new technologies.

About the role

This is an exciting role to make your mark to develop and lead our Production Engineering and drafting team, responsible for optimising manufacturing processes, improving production workflows, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance overall productivity. The role will include: 

  • Analyse current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement
  • Research and test design ideas, utilising lean manufacturing principles and root-cause analysis
  • Design and develop robust manufacturing concepts to improve processes and ensure best practices
  • Monitor production metrics and adjust processes as needed to meet production goals
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations and prevent waste
  • Ensure all production processes comply with quality standards and regulations
  • Lead and manage production-related projects from concept to completion
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director on Finite Element Analysis (FEA), prototype building, performance evaluation, and issue resolution
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies and automation solutions into the production process

About you 

We’re seeking someone with a passion for streamlining manufacturing processes, who is ready for a role with direct impact on operations. The ideal candidate will ideally have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical)
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a Production Engineering role in manufacturing
  • Hands-on experience building prototypes
  • Experience in running Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of components
  • In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proficiency with analytical tools, workflow time studies, and lean processes
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and provide guidance to team members
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as SolidWorks PDM
  • Knowledge of advanced product quality planning and production part approval process
  • Safety focus, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality
