About this opportunity
Our Capital Works and Asset Management team has an opportunity for an experienced Engineer. You will be required to provide engineering and project management services in assisting in the delivery of Councils Capital Works and Maintenance Programs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide support in the project management and supervision of civil maintenance, operations and construction works undertaken in accordance with Council’s Annual Capital Works Program and Council's Operational Plan, particularly in relation to bridges, major culverts, floodways and urban drainage.
- Provide support in the development of monthly and quarterly expenditure and progress reporting for the Maintenance, Operations and Capital Works Program.
- Provide support in the delivery of maintenance and operating budgets for the development of long term financial plans and the annual budget and assist in the development of the 10 Year Capital Works Program.
- Provide support in the review of Council’s policies in relation to road, drainage, bridge, traffic and transport infrastructure and provide advice on potential improvements for Council consideration.
- Liaise with external stakeholders as required to assist in the delivery of projects to ensure that they proceed effectively and efficiently.
About you
- To succeed in this role, you will require ;
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering
- Project Management and/or relevant experience working within the Civil Construction and Maintenance Industry.
- Traffic Management Design desirable.
- Current Queensland C Class driver's licence
- Demonstrated knowledge within the civil maintenance, operations and construction fields in relation to:
- Experience working with Quality and Environmental Management Systems
- Experience working with Asset Management Plans and Asset Strategies
- Knowledge of State Legislation, Local Laws, Policies and Procedures
