Defence are looking for high performing, experienced, professional individuals to fill a variety of Engineering and Technical roles.
These civilian Engineering and Technical roles may cover broad areas of technology or be quite specialist depending on the work area and your skill set.
Your key duties may include:
- Planning and delivering critical Engineering and Technical activities.
- Engaging and influencing stakeholders on complex issues.
- Working independently with reasonable autonomy and accountability for the achievement of outcomes.
- Exercising initiative and judgement in the interpretation of policy and application of practices and procedures.

About our Team
We are recruiting in an exciting time for Defence across a range of positions in Engineering and Technical between three Groups:
- Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG): CASG exists to meet the Australian Defence Force’s (ADF) military equipment and supply requirements, identified by Defence and approved by Government. CASG manages a multi-billion dollar portfolio of complex, high-profile acquisitions and sustainment activities supporting armed forces.
- Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Group (GWEO): GWEO’s mission is to deliver an Enterprise with a focus on domestic manufacture, long-range strike and uplifting our war stocks enabling the Australian Defence Force, in competition and conflict.
- Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG): NSSG is responsible for delivering and sustaining Australia’s naval capability – the ships and submarines – for Australia to be able to fight and win at sea.

- Demonstrated ability to adapt to shifting priorities and compressed timelines and ability to manage workflows and resources.
- Accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
