As a member of the Chief Technology Office (CTO), you will contribute to all aspects of the technology products and services we deliver, from technical strategy and design to coding to deployment to operation. Our Observability team are responsible for the build and maintenance of enterprise scale Observability tooling, working with our platform and software engineering teams to embed telemetry to enable integration with our tooling. We’ve been tasked with ‘establishing group-wide total observability with real time telemetry’ to enable ‘best-in-class security, resiliency and reliability’ to support the Groups’ 3 years tech strategy. You’ll lead a squad of Engineers, work with our Crew Tech leads and Product Owners to build and maintain a product backlog.

Have expertise across Observability Engineering and embedding instrumentation for observability in application and system design across a large enterprise
Come from a sound coding and CI/CD automation background (deployment testing to release)Offer skills in Cloud deployment (AWS or Azure), whilst still knowledgeable around on-prem
Pride themselves on mentoring and developing their team, providing sound input and decision guidance, offering design and technical support to engineers
Are passionate about architecture / design and implementing large scale, high volume software solutionsSkillsWe use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks.
