About the Role
Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager that considers themselves as a strong all-rounder to bring their expertise to this role. This role will involve managing the day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all vessels are built to “customer build list” specifications
- Ensure vessel completion is in line with production schedule
- Responsible for all aspects of Shed 3 operations and contractors
- Assist with mentoring and supervising of Apprentices
- Drive continual improvement in the production process
- Ensure compliance with CE and USCG obligations inside your work scope
- Ensure compliance with OH&S standards
Skills and Experience
- Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills enabling you to develop and manage a strong team.
- Trade qualified
- Excellent time and organisational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to remain professional and calm under pressure.
- You must be comfortable working in a diverse and dynamic environment.
- You must be willing to work to flexible hours (including weekends) where required
About You
- A strong understanding of safe work practices and workplace health and safety.
- Discipline and motivation to work autonomously.
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills with a positive attitude towards key stake holders
- The ability to effectively prioritise your workload and be self-motivated
- A good understanding of working with achievable goals and metrics
