OHPSA is responsible for several South Australian government priorities including:
- Delivering the Hydrogen Jobs Plan, which will see the development of a world leading hydrogen-fueled power station, hydrogen production facility and associated storage in the Upper Spencer Gulf by the end of 2025
- Working with industry partners to deliver the Port Bonython Hydrogen Export Hub project as South Australia's first large-scale export terminal for hydrogen
- Hydrogen industry development activities to ensure South Australia is at the forefront of renewable hydrogen production
The Engineering Manager works across OHPSA’s project functions overseeing the evaluation and selection, contracting, design and development of technical solutions, evaluating engineering performance, monitoring quality and delivery aspects, managing risks, managing the Owner’s Engineers interfaces, scope of work and quality of deliverables.
- Provide high level advice and support to OHPSA’s leadership and deputise for the Director Engineering when required
- Responsible for the coordination, output and standards of a team of engineers that is multi-disciplinary
- Represent OHPSA on technical and engineering matters, providing advice on design and risk considerations
- Consult with OE Engineering contractors/ consultants, functional leads, project partners, major contractors and service providers to deliver OHPSA project outcomes
- Develop and implement complex quality control procedures to maintain high standards in project delivery (e.g., engineering quality control, testing validation and assurance, process improvement, conduct site visits and audits, engage with other functions in OHPSA to gather input and feedback)
- Develop knowledge across other disciplines regarding engineering processes, deliverables, capabilities, productivity, interfaces and capacity
- Work collaboratively across projects and with the Owner’s Engineering team. Encourage a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork, knowledge sharing, and exceptional engineering delivery outcomes.
