Vass Tutoring has been operating for over 10 years in Cheltenham and has earned a stellar reputation in the Bayside area for its commitment to academic growth and success for students of all ages. What sets Vass Tutoring apart from other tutors is our desire to continue offering a boutique service. This means every student receives personalised attention and tailored sessions. We promise that students will see the same tutors each week – tutors who know their students by name, as well as their particular learning needs. Our lessons are thoroughly planned to get the best from each student during their time at Vass Tutoring.
Our business is currently recruiting enthusiastic English and Maths tutors that can support students in Year 7–12 to improve their studies and achieve success.
The Opportunity:
Employment Type: Casual
Location: At our office in Cheltenham, Vic.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Commencement: Recruiting immediately.
This is an in-person role, we do not offer online tutoring. Our office is located in Cheltenham, in Victoria's South East.
What we require from our tutors:
- Familiarity with the current Victorian Curriculum and a passion for helping students learn.
- Previous experience as a tutor, teacher, or educator in an Maths or English focused role.
- Ability to tutor VCE General/Further Maths, Maths Methods, Specialist Maths, Mainstream English, English Literature, English Language or a combination of these subjects.
- Hold a Current Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one).
- Bachelor’s degree (or working towards)
- Possess own laptop or iPad/tablet
- Availability to be rostered at least 2 days Monday-Friday, within the hours of 3:30-8:30pm. Additional hours may be required during the day on occasion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
- Reliability and unwavering commitment to the role.
