We are seeking a creative and dedicated teacher to take on an exciting opportunity as an English Teacher in our Senior School. Working across diverse year groups, you will have the capacity to engage and inspire our students to achieve their best.
The successful candidate will have the ability to teach English from 9-12, with experience in English ATAR, and with excellent knowledge and application of Western Australian Curriculum requirements, including the ability to differentiate the curriculum based on the needs of students in your class.
As a qualified teacher with tertiary qualifications in English and TRB clearance to teach in WA, you will also:
be a positive, collaborative and flexible professional, able to work effectively in a team environment;
demonstrate advanced skills utilising and facilitating the use of technology in the classroom;
apply sound pedagogical principles in the classroom including creative and critical thinking tools;
use and analyse formative and summative assessment to inform teaching practice and provide feedback in a timely, constructive and substantive manner;
have experience in effectively managing behavioural issues and pastoral needs of students; and
have excellent communication and interpersonal skills in interactions with colleagues, parents, and students.
Experience with teaching ATAR English is preferred. Significant participation in the pastoral and co-curricular life of the school is expected.
