Job DescriptionA reputable school in North Balwyn is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join our team starting at the beginning of Term 3. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective English lessons to students from Years 7-12, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities include planning and assessing curriculum, developing students' reading, writing, and critical thinking skills, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance educational outcomes. Strong communication skills and a passion for literature and language are essential. • Develop and implement dynamic lesson plans aligning with the curriculum.
• Evaluate and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.

• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and school initiatives.
• Uphold and integrate the schools values and teachings within the educational framework.

Skills & Experience:

• Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
• Maintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
• Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Demonstrate previous experience as an English Teacher - Graduates are welcome to apply too!
• Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
