About the facility
The Surgical Hub (Operational Monday -Friday 06.30-7.30pm)
The Surgical Hub works with the Main Operating Theatre with admitting patient prior to theatre and discharging same day patients. Main theatres at Barwon Health provide a 24 hour service to the community across 10 Operating Theatres. We not only provide access for Elective Surgery but also Semi Urgent and Emergency procedures. The specialities include Cardiothoracics, ENT, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Oral Faciomaxillary, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Urology, Vascular and Robotic Surgery
About the role
The Registered Recovery Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient/client/resident focused holistic nursing care to those assigned to him/her, in order to achieve desired clinical outcomes.
