Enrolled Nurse


This is for a Permanent Full Time Position at 80 hours per fortnight

 An opportunity exists for a talented and enthusiastic Enrolled Nurse to join the team at Derby Hospital in the  Kimberley.

To be successful, you will have...

  • Eligibility for registration in the category of Enrolled Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. 
  • Demonstrates developed clinical skills in acute care setting, according to level of experience.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to Health Promotion.
  • Demonstrated experience in rural and remote nursing

Position Profile:

The primary responsibility of the Enrolled Nurse is to undertake the clinical delivery of quality patient services and care within the Peri Operative/Theatre setting including some Clinics. The applicant should have Scrub/Scout or Anaesthetic/Recovery experience.

The Country Nursing & Midwifery incentive program is available to new and existing nurses and midwives - across a broad range of patient-facing roles - on fixed term or permanent contracts at 76 select locations. Eligible nurses and midwives can receive between $5,000 and $17,000 in support over 12 months (WA Country Health Service - Country Nursing and Midwifery Incentive Program).

Area Profile

WACHS Kimberley is the most northern health region of WACHS. The Kimberley region has approximately 200 Aboriginal communities, over 34 different Aboriginal language groups and 45 percent of the population are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people. WACHS Kimberley consists of six hospitals, an inpatient mental health unit, three Community Directorates and a Corporate Office. WACHS Kimberley provides hospital, community health, public health, remote area health, community aged care, and mental health services across the region through a dedicated team of medical, nursing, Aboriginal health, allied health, and support staff.
