We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Information Technology (IT) Enterprise Architect to join our team. The IT Enterprise Architect will play a pivotal role in supporting delivery of the IT strategy and developing the architecture roadmap. This position requires a strategic thinker with the ability to understand business needs and translate them into technology solutions that drive innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage.

Job Description

As the Enterprise Architect you will play a pivotal role in supporting delivery of the IT strategy and developing the architecture roadmap. In this role you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the overarching technology architecture that aligns with the organisation's business strategy and goals, it involves designing and implementing robust, scalable, and secure systems that support business operations and drive innovation. The Enterprise Architect will collaborate with senior leadership, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure that technology initiatives are aligned with business objectives.

Through strategic planning and a deep understanding of emerging technologies, the Enterprise Architect will guide the organisation in adopting best practices and ensuring the technological infrastructure can adapt to future needs.

You will:

• Maintain the Enterprise Architecture framework to ensure alignment of IT strategy with business goals and objectives.
• Define and develop the technology roadmap in collaboration with business leaders and IT stakeholders, outlining strategic direction and future initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to assess their potential impact on the enterprise and recommend adoption were beneficial.
• Ensure that all technology solutions are scalable, secure, and adhere to industry best practices and standards.
• Lead the design and implementation of IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring they meet organisational needs and strategic goals.
• Provide guidance and oversight for the integration of new technologies and processes into the existing IT landscape.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and developers to ensure that solutions are aligned with the overall Enterprise Architecture.
• Champion awareness and adherence to IT governance policies, standards, and procedures, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct regular architecture reviews and audits to maintain the integrity, security, and effectiveness of IT systems.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders, provide mentorship to IT professionals, and promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organisation.

Your background will demonstrate:

• Strong understanding of cloud computing, data management, security, and enterprise applications, enabling the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions.
• Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address and resolve complex technical challenges, ensuring robust and reliable IT systems.
• Proficiency in architecture modelling tools and frameworks, facilitating the creation and maintenance of comprehensive architecture blueprints and roadmaps.
• Strong leadership and project management skills, coupled with exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, to effectively lead teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated experience working with Department of Defence (DoD) IT systems and understanding of DoD-specific requirements, security standards, and compliance frameworks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
