As part of this role, you will work as part of the Digital Roadmap team. This team has the lead responsibility for the development of the Service's digital blueprint and roadmap, with a focus on a contemporary service experience strategy and a cohesive approach to Enterprise Architecture. It is an opportunity to drive digital innovation throughout the Service, with sustainable digital investment options.
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Provide strategic and technical advice to inform investment decisions through creation of a digital investment roadmap, support key projects and programs to drive digital maturity and transformation across the Service and brings value to QPS and the community we serve.
- Lead internal digital planning activities, in compliance with whole of government and departmental endorsed frameworks, strategies, standards and methodologies.
- Ensure the department is well-connected and informed on whole-of-government digital solutions which can be leveraged or that may impact our digital investments.
- Enhance, improve and champion an enterprise design authority approach and governance framework.
- Develop enterprise roadmaps, strategies and frameworks, plans and policies using best practice architectural methodologies and in close collaboration with business and technology subject matter experts.
- Research and evaluate trends of digitisation including new and emerging technologies and identify opportunities that could deliver new and innovative products and services for the QPS.
- Provide strategic recommendations to minimise the departments ICT risk profile.
- Clearly articulate the connection between business strategies and enterprise transformation activities
- Develop, maintain and foster effective networks and liaisons, between internal technical teams, projects, other stakeholders and branches of the portfolio agencies, in order to assist in the delivery of solution architecture.
Role Requirements:
Qualification:
- While not mandatory. a degree level qualification in Information Technology or similar is highly desirable, as would any applicable Enterprise Architecture field related certification.
Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience:
- Experience leading Enterprise Architectural design, patterns, frameworks and guiding artefacts, particularly in complex service and business organisations
- Awareness of Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF and QGEA) is desirable.
- Public safety business systems is also desirable
