We have partnered with a Vic State Government Agency on a digital transformation initiative and are looking to place an Enterprise Data Architect to join our team on a 5 month contract basis with a possibility to extend.
The role will be based in Melbourne.
What will you be doing?
The role of Enterprise Data Architect will engage in specific projects to provide Data Architecture guidance and advice, and execute Data Architecture activities in line with existing enterprise architecture strategies.
This will include engaging with business and technical resources to elicit information and understand data and information requirements, provide advice as required, and develop data and information artefacts such as architecture frameworks, models, standards and principles.
A particular focus will be the design and implementation planning of a master data management framework.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in enterprise architecture domain including Information Management
- High Level Solution Options and Detailed Option Assessments & Feasibility
- Architectural Specifications
- Development of a departmental approach to master data management, including rollout and implementation plan
- Development and maintenance of Enterprise Data artefacts such as Target State Information Architecture, enterprise and domain-specific blueprints, and reference architectures
- Provide specialist data and information architecture advice to all projects within the ICT Portfolio of projects
- Significant enterprise architecture experience with the ability to lead and mentor development teams
- Ability to document clearly and take all stakeholders on the journey of the system / application design
- Broad understanding application of non-functional system design factors and requirements, including items such as security, performance, accessibility, high availability and disaster recovery
- Strong working knowledge of cloud environments and design patterns that leverage the features and benefits of cloud native systems
- Extensive experience with Data Architecture at an enterprise level, including data modelling, and working with enterprise and solution architects
- Ability to engage with different types of users (business and technical) to understand and articulate data and information requirements, and provide advice to projects as required
- Understanding of general data and information management processes
- Promote alignment with departmental and sector standards, Information Management Strategy, and target state information architecture, including the roadmap activities to achieve this end state.
- Ability to think logically and troubleshoot problems is desirable
- Understanding of various data and integration technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure is desirable
