Intercorp Technology P/L is looking for two to three full time/part-time Process Workers with a demonstrable interest in electronics and fixing things, to work at our repair facility in Brendale QLD. This would be for a contract period of 3 months with the potential for a permanent position and training to become a Repair Technician.
This job would suit anyone (including school leaver, TAFE student or mature aged applicant) who has an interest in electronic equipment.
The successful applicant will work in a small team focused on:
- Recording, tracking and packaging items in our warehouse
- Preparation and testing of telecommunications equipment
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Interest in electronics
- Ability to follow a procedure accurately
- Able to work with basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers and cutters.
- Ability to consistently produce error free work
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
- Safety focused and capable of working with and around power tools, electronic soldering equipment and small payload robots.
- Strong organisational and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well individually and in a small team
Desirable
- Familiarity with spreadsheets and word processors
- Understanding and/or experience in the operation of powered screwdrivers and multi-meters
- Ability to correctly identify a range of electronics components
- Previous experience in soldering, de-soldering and/or rework of PCBs
- Experience with shipping and handling of equipment
- Driver's licence and own transport an advantage
Purpose
Provide assistance to our technicians in warehousing, data entry and testing a range of telecommunications equipment.
