The Opportunity
In this full time position, you will collaborate with both external and internal stakeholders spanning various business units. Your primary focus will be on identifying and implementing environmentally responsible practices to diminish the organisation's environmental footprint. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of sustainability across SunPork's entire value chain.
Reporting to the Group Sustainability Manager, some key responsibilities will include:
- Assist the Group Sustainability Manager in managing key sustainability projects. This would entail activities such as, but not limited to drafting project scopes, coordinating working groups, ensuring project timelines are met, assisting with the implementation and completing project reviews
- Support the annual life cycle assessment completion, including data collection, data validation, liaising with contract partners (such as Integrity Ag and Environment) and evaluating results
- Assist in completion of sustainability reporting, including but not limited to monthly leadership team update, Board reports, internal and external presentations, regulatory or compliance reporting.
- Oversee the procurement and relationship management of SunPork Group key waste provider services
Who We Are Looking For
SunPork has established an efficient, highly skilled yet diversified team that is dedicated to producing high quality, sustainable welfare-optimal products.
As a key member of this team, the successful applicant must have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in either Environmental Science, Agriculture, Sustainability, Energy Management, or related fields
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling collaboration across various business units and the capacity to drive change throughout the organisation
- Intermediate proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Office suite
- Outstanding attention to detail, coupled with organisational and time management skills
- Solid understanding of environmental life cycle assessments and methodologies
- Knowledgeable about environmental sustainability issues
- Capacity to thrive in time-sensitive environments, providing swift and accurate responses
- Strong eagerness to learn and comprehend broader business operations
- 1 – 2 years of relevant experience required
