Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your safety expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside motivated and passionate teammates and add value to the delivery of Alstom's scope on the Sydney Metro City and Southwest Project. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, taking care of safety programs and the technical writing of procedures / forms to develop and maintain the Environment, Health & Safety, and Rail Safety Management plans and much more. You’ll specifically monitor safety performance and review / test emergency plans and delivery of safety induction training.
We’ll look to you for:
-Supporting the project leadership team in creating and driving a 'safety first' culture
-Assisting in the delivery and review of the EHS & Rail Safety management plans for the project
-Conducting incident investigation and auditing
-Manging project EHS documentation and compliance
-Preparing statisitcal reporting for internal and external stakeholders
-Onsite support during track possessions, inluding occasional night shift and weekend work
All about you
We are seeking a motivated and proactive individual who is passionate about problem solving. You will also have;
-Cert IV or Diploma in Workplace, Health & Safety
-Significant experience in a similar role, ideally within Rail, Construction, Heavy Industry or a 'high-risk' environment
-Initiative, drive and resilience, with the ability to influence people at all levels within the project
-A sound knowledge of safe working systems, legislation, rules and procedures
-The ability to participate in night shift and weekend work ocassionally
