You will work on a 7:7 roster (7 days on, 7 days off) 10.3 hours per day. This is a DIDO position so you get to go home every night to spend more time with friends and family.Reporting to the Site Environmental Superintendenthe Environmental Advisor is part of the WA Mining Environment Team and is accountable for the co-ordination and implementation of a range of environmental management and monitoring programs, including: -Implementation of the EMS, environmental monitoring, and data managementProviding environmental adviceEnforcing environmental standardsAuditing and reportingEnvironmental consultation across a range of environmental aspects including mine rehabilitation, water supply and quality, noise, dust, pollution prevention, drainage, dieback, dangerous goods, and waste management.The Environmental Advisor works both independently and as part of the operations team carrying out and contributing to the development of environmental programs that are capable of achieving the expectations of Alcoa corporate, regulatory bodies and the local community. Established in 1976 and located east of North Dandalup in WA. Bauxite ore from Alcoa’s Huntly and Willowdale mines helps to produce almost half of Australia’s alumina and approximately 19 per cent of Australia’s aluminium.
