Step into a newly created role supporting the larger environmental function and team for a leading energy provider for the Victoria market.
Through effective engagement with key stakeholders, the role will support the development, execution and monitoring of programs to embed industry-leading natural resource management and environmental planning processes. The role will act as the businesses’ environmental planning subject matter expert and be the key operational contact with external groups such as councils.
Advisory and Business Partnering
- Provide advice on management policies and processes related to Environmental Planning legislation to the business.
- Act as the Environmental Planning subject matter expert for the business.
- Support and drive a proactive culture where the philosophy of continuous improvement is embedded within the business to improve Environmental Planning compliance.
- Provide support for delivery/operational teams (i.e., project managers, maintenance, vegetation clearance, field delivery teams and construction contractors) regarding their environmental planning obligations, including the submission of permit applications, and compliance with Local, State and Federal legislation.
- Work with external planning consultants to develop Local, State and Federal Permit applications, including reviewing scopes of works, assessments, and submission documents, whilst confirming they are delivering effectively and efficiently for the business.
