Job description

Our EnergyAustralia way
At EnergyAustralia, we are committed to providing an inclusive culture so our employees can bring their whole selves to work, feel supported and included with your colleagues and broader teams. We all thrive when we can communicate openly, honestly and bring new ideas to the table.

Being Purposeful at EnergyAustralia
We’re committed to our customers. And the environment too. But we’re also committed to all those who work with us. Our promise is to give everyone the opportunity to be engaged with what they do. To grow, learn and succeed. But it’s not without challenges. Change is continuous in our industry. It’s part of how we do business now. And change can take us out of our comfort zone. But it’s also creating exciting opportunities for people willing to step up and take on a challenge.

The Yallourn Power Station is a 1480 MW base load generating plant and is part of the diversified range of EnergyAustralia energy assets, supplying more than 22% of Victoria's electricity needs, more than eight percent of the National Electricity Market (NEM) and enough to supply around two million homes.

The Yallourn site is located approximately 130kms east of Melbourne, in an area renowned for natural beauty, access to Melbourne and a full range of modern services and infrastructure.

Your role will include:

  • Assist with data collection, monitoring and reporting to achieve compliance with relevant statutory requirements.
  • Assist with the review and reporting of environmental audit programs.
  • Participate in the management of designated elements of the Environment Management System (EMS) to maintain ISO14001 certification.
  • Contribute to immediate and effective responses to environmental incidents or events to ensure that environmental non-conformances are eliminated or minimised.

About You
To be successful in the role you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Degree level qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or Resource Management
  • Familiarity in data collection including data management systems to accurately record and present data in appropriate formats and to approved standards.
