Henty Gold Mine is located in the heart of the West Coast of Tasmania, allowing you to take advantage of its heritage, stunning national parks and historic mining towns. The Henty Gold Mine is a well-established, high yield gold mine. The Henty Gold Mine is located on Tasmania’s beautiful West Coast between the towns of Tullah and Queenstown.
About the role
We are currently seeking an Environmental Coordinator to plan, design, coordinate, directly supervise and monitoring of environmental management plans for Henty Gold Mine.
This position will be reporting to the Health, Safety, Environment and Training Superintendent and be part of a team who are focused on working together to deliver continuous improvement. You will be able to coordinate activities in the field or from the office as required as well as engaging with key stakeholders throughout the business. Work closely with the Departmental Managers to achieve these outcomes.
Manage competing priorities for work output whilst managing several projects in parallel.
Stakeholder engagement is a key enabler in this role, and we would like you to establish and maintain effective relationships across a broad range of teams. Henty Gold Mine has an inclusive environment where everyone’s voice is heard and treated fairly with respect.
About you
- Experience/Qualifications in Environmental Science and related disciplines.
- Knowledge of regulatory processes in the mining sector.
- Good written and verbal communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to deliver quality work within required tight deadlines.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Work with honesty and integrity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must, allowing you to build relationships across departments and to communicate at all levels.
- Ability to solve problems and be innovative.
- The right to currently live and work in Australia.
