Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Endoscopy division of Cook Medical focuses on the accessories for endoscopic procedures to both diagnose and treat diseases throughout the gastrointestinal tract. Key to this role is the ability to be agile, commercially minded and focused on delivering value to gastroenterologists, surgeons, and GI nurses.
The purpose of this role is to achieve and exceed sales targets for a West & South territory through continued growth of existing long-term customers and by developing new relationships with interventional endoscopist's and their clinical support staff. You will be joining a high performing, energetic sales team in the support of product lines related to endoscopic therapeutic devices that treat a range of gastrointestinal diseases. Additionally, you will be responsible for providing high levels of clinical support while maintaining a business focus in a highly competitive environment. A comprehensive hands-on training program will be provided which includes both formal and field-based teaching.
Responsibilities include:- Effectively and efficiently sell and support medical devices to allocated accounts within designated territory and as per the needs of the Division
- Ability to absorb and process technical and highly complex clinical data within a business setting
- Analyse sales reports to understand and identify business opportunities and risks
- Provide customer support on inventory and consignment within company guidelines
- Identify all stakeholders, influencing sales and include actions to promote the goals of the Division
- Identify, coordinate and deliver customer in-service education sessions to support the appropriate use of Cook products
- Travel within the territory and interstate to meet customer needs
- Previous experience in nursing or in a sales related field such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals or related healthcare roles will be highly regarded
- A positive attitude, resilience, and willingness to be coached and developed
- Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, business, commerce, or related discipline
- Excellent time management, planning and organising skills are essential
- Ability to work comfortably in a theatre/clinical environment
- Ability to Develop, maintain and execute an annual business plan for your territory with high levels of autonomy
- Energy and desire to maintain high levels of field activity to effectively support existing customers and develop new business
- Due to the inherent requirements of this role, evidence of vaccinations for relevant vaccine preventable diseases as well as COVID-19 vaccination relevant to the territory and the ability to maintain vaccination status are essential
- Satisfactory police check are essential
- WWC (Working with Children) certificate or the ability to obtain one are essential
