The Position

The City of Cockburn is seeking an experienced, motivated, andenthusiastic individual to lead and mentor our team of enthusiasticEnvironmental Health professionals.  Reporting to the Managerof Public Health and Building Services, this position supports andleads our team of Environmental Health Officer within the PublicHealth and Building Service Unit, working collaboratively to ward“a healthy, safe and compliantcommunity”. 

The successful applicant will manage and mentor their team toensure the provision of excellence in customer service tostakeholders, as embedded in the City’s core values. In adynamic and evolving industry, the position will support theCity’s Environmental Health professionals to implement,monitor and enforce legislative requirements under the Health Actand Public Health Act, the Environmental Protection (Noise)Regulations and other related public health and safetylegislation.

About You

You are a dynamic and enthusiastic leader, who is passionateabout public and Environmental Health, focused on developing ahighly skilled team focused on protecting, promoting andfacilitating positive Environmental Health outcomes for ourcommunity.

You possess:

• Substantial experience in Environmental Health.
• Proven leadership and organisational skills.
• Extensive knowledge of the evolving Environmental Health legislative framework as it applies to local government.

Hours: 76 hours per fortnight  

Salary: $112,495 - $131,814 per annum,depending on skills and experience.
