  • Provide environmental advice to ensure compliance with environmental legislation

The Environmental Reporting team is an internal service which assists the organisation to comply with environmental legislation obligations by providing guidance and recommendations to a range of stakeholders. Using the Environmental Management Framework, you will provide guidance and recommendations using the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001), audit and inspection programs, environmental assessment procedure/processes and incident management processes.

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key activities of this role include:

  • assisting in the implementation of the Environmental Management System (EMS)
  • assisting in the review and creation of EMS documentation (procedures, policies and plans)
  • undertaking premises and work activity inspections to ensure consistency with legal obligations, through a corporate inspection schedule
  • assisting with external audit programs and key audit documentation
  • internal stakeholder engagement through a range of staffing levels
  • provision of environmental advice to ensure consistency with legal obligations, EMS and Environmental Management framework
  • assisting in environmental incident response and reporting including investigations, corrective actions and high-level decision making
  • assisting in environmental reporting and engagement of regulatory authorities including incident reporting, and
  • assisting in Environmental Impact Assessments under Part 5 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979.

This role provides a commencing salary range of between $82.9k to $99.5k per annum dependent on skills and experience + 11% superannuation. 

A 9-day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role with flexible/hybrid working arrangements available.
