We currently have an opportunity for an Environmental Project Supervisor to join our team. You will be responsible for the delivery of environmental aspects of the Land Management and Capability services of the Estate Management of Services (EMOS) contract to the Department of Defence, in the SNSW Region.
As head contractor for Defence in the SNSW region, we deliver Land Management and Capability services. These services include grounds maintenance, land conservation and natural resource management and pest and vermin management (including provision of expert advice).
Responsibilities:
The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:
- Assist with preparation and implementation of an Environmental Management Plan (EMP) within the Spotless Environmental Management System Framework with reference to the Defence Environmental Management System (EMS) and Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) System.
- Ensure all subsequent works undertaken by staff and Subcontractors/SMEs are in accordance with the Contract and site specific Environmental Management
- Plan/s, including support with preparation and delivery to other sub-Regions as required.
- Development of any tender documentation for Environmental Works, tender, evaluate and engage as required.
- Ensures that Land Management services is managed effectively and within agreed budgetary guidelines.
What you'll bring
- Tertiary Qualifications in Environmental Science or related fields (Mandatory)
- Suitability for Defence security clearance (Australian Citizenship Mandatory)
- Hands on environmental experience in similar environment.
- Knowledge of, or experience in, the Defence industry (Preferred)
- Involvement /affiliation with relevant Environmental panels or committees to help maximise industry networking and ensure technical cross pollination (Preferred)
