About the role:
We are currently seeking an Environmental and Sustainability Manager to join our team. This is a new role within the organisation supporting the significant recent growth, and projected growth in the future.
This position is responsible for providing subject matter expertise on industry best practice sustainability and ESG solutions and managing project execution in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, to deliver industry leading benchmark targets while ensuring operational requirements are met.
What will you be doing
Reporting to the General Manager – Business Development, the role will support the Senior Management Team and will work collaboratively with the operational, commercial and financial teams of the business. This is an exciting opportunity leading the implementation of the Ausreo Sustainability Strategy.
Some key focus areas for the role are:
- Environmental, Social and Governance strategies and initiatives.
- Strategy and planning
- Communication and reporting
- Project Management
- Stakeholder relationship management.
What will you bring to this role?
This is an exciting career opportunity for someone with a passion for social and environmental governance across cross functional teams and other key stakeholders in the delivery of an outstanding strategies and initiatives. You will bring:
- 7+ years’ experience working in the Building, Construction, Manufacturing or Transport industries.
- Working knowledge of sustainable business practices to identify ESG opportunities and trends.
- Demonstrated experience using sustainability management practices.
- Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of the State Governments’ sustainability policies and sustainability programs and certifications promoted by industry bodies.
- Demonstrated experience in project management, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills for the research and delivery of high-level reports.
- Able to anticipate clearly and accurately the future consequences and trends that may impact the Steel Reinforcing Industry.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Experience across a variety of sectors, with a strong skillset in construction, infrastructure, and government projects.
