Eoi - Mechanical Engineer

Due to an increased demand within our business, SYPAQ is seeking an Expression of Interest Mechanical Engineer to provide their expertise for future large government clients based in Melbourne. The successful applicant will be critical in improving the digital systems built for this department in their IT division as well as future projects.

The key skills and experience that would be expected from the successful candidate for this opportunity will include:

• Developing an integrated Creo 3D model of 19” racks/enclosures which will be installed onto a ship (i.e. modelling individual equipment and integrating equipment into a rack and checking for any issues such as physical clashes, cable bend radius etc)
• Selecting mechanical components such as equipment slides, cable arms, etc
• Designing a custom PDU rack unit
• Developing associated drawings (e.g. Interface Control Drawing, manufacturing drawings, maintenance analysis drawings)
• Potentially conducting associated analysis WRT cooling, shock/vibration etc.

To be eligible for this EOI SYPAQ opportunity you will need to be an Australia Citizen and hold a minimum of a Negative Vetting Level 2 security clearance..
