AddressNuage has partnered with an Australian-owned Technology company seeking a mid-senior ML Engineer. In this role, you will be collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving innovation in search functionalities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, experience with the ELK stack, and proficiency in data collection and cloud services. This role involves both design and implementation, ensuring high performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of our search solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with frontend teams to design and implement OpenSearch changes that drive new features and improve user experiences.
- Improve and optimise the existing OpenSearch architecture for better performance and scalability.
- Focus on scaling the search infrastructure and optimising costs associated with search implementations.
- Engage in innovative projects, including Natural Language Processing (NLP) and natural language search enhancements.
- Ensure data is properly loaded into OpenSearch, maintaining high data quality and integrity.
- Debug and resolve customer issues and performance-related problems efficiently.
Skills:
- Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with OpenSearch and Elasticsearch.
- Proficiency in Elastic, Logstash, and Kibana for search, data processing, and visualisation.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana and Graylog.
- Strong skills in Python for scripting, automation, and data manipulation.
- Proficient in ETL processes for data integration and transformation.
- Experience with AWS for cloud infrastructure management and deployment.
Desired Experience:
- Proven experience in building and optimizing customer-facing search solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable search architectures for large-scale applications.
- Ability to work effectively with frontend teams to translate requirements into functional search features.
- A mix of design and implementation experience, capable of both creating designs and executing them.
