The Role:
The Equipment Coordinator for the Central Equipment Store is responsible for the efficient management and distribution of medical equipment within the hospital setting. This role involves overseeing the inventory, maintenance, and utilization of medical devices, ensuring availability for clinical use while adhering to safety and regulatory guidelines. The Equipment Coordinator works closely with healthcare staff to fulfill equipment requests, maintain accurate records, and optimize equipment utilization across departments.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in a technical field preferably in Healthcare or Certification in Biomedical
- Minimum 3 years of experience in equipment management, inventory control, or materials management preferably within a healthcare setting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
