Provide advice, guidance and support on equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) matters at Charles Darwin University (CDU)

About the Position
As the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Consultantyou will develop and implement strategies, initiatives, training, and programs to promote EDI within the University, ensuring you are proactive in keeping up to date with developments in EDI practice and changes to legislation and the drive to deliver against a program of work. You’ll work closely with colleagues in People and Culture to assess and analyse workforce data and practices identifying trends and areas for improvement to drive meaningful change throughout the University. 

About You
To be successful, you will require:

  • Degree in Human Resources or similar, or education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a human resource environment or similar with a sound understanding of EDI legislation, principles and trends with proven ability to provide advice and support in these matters.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training and awareness programs and education materials.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess organisational issues and provide solutions which lead to an improvement in staff EDI opportunities within the University.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels and build productive partnerships and collaboration.
  • Current understanding of EDI issues as they relate to the higher education and TAFE sector.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation, regulations and compliance requirements related to EDI.

Remuneration 
Appointment to this role will be at Professional level 8. The base salary will be in the range of $102,831 to $116,253 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $120,312 to $136,016 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
