Our client is an established multinational business. Unlike other large firms this business is still within its infancy in the Brisbane market which means the opportunities in the business are vast and fluid.This position has come about due to exactly that reason. Several people have recently been promoted and this has opened a new role within the ESD team of 7.
Joining this team, you will be exposed to some of Brisbane’s blue chip building projects as well as a full range of industrial projects across the other areas of the business including water, mining minerals and metals, environmental, energy.
With an overarching business view of climate solutions, smart cities, and energy transition, this is truly the place where you can get career development in whatever direction you desire within sustainability.
This however is a practical role which butts up with the Building Services Mechanical team and delivers ‘grass roots’ ESD design solutions and compliance for a full range of existing and new buildings. The candidate we are seeking will be a diligent self-starter and excited by this opportunity, we also require a candidate with excellent communication skills that can come up with great ideas and understand what the client wants whilst eloquently joining the two.
There is no ceiling in this business and opportunities for promotion and bonus come often they are the sort of firm the recognises your contribution and does not base it on years served or any other generic metric.

Requirements;
- Bachelor Degree (Mechanical or other relevant Tertiary Qualification), with a strong interest in energy and thermodynamics
- Locally gained experience of 3+ years involving design for regulatory compliance (Greenstar, NABERS, WELL Buildings, NAthers), exposure to whole building energy modelling, energy auditing and energy strategy master planning.
- Soft skills involving exposure to a client facing role attending meetings and consulting experience. Or a strong desire to do this.
