Join our team at The Children's Private Medical Group, as a part-time Practice Manager, covering Maternity Leave (12-15 months)
About us: The Children’s Private Medical Group brings together a range of experienced paediatric healthcare professionals to offer high-quality, multidisciplinary care to children and their families in a friendly practice, located adjacent to The Royal Children’s Hospital.
In addition to leading clinicians in paediatric general medical and sub-specialist care, The Children’s Private Medical Group offers the services of practitioners in a wide range of allied health fields including continence nursing, and psychology.
The role: We are seeking an experienced, skilled and highly motivated Practice manager to cover Maternity Leave for 12-15 months. This is a part time position requiring three days per week (22.8 hours per week). Ideally you will work Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Your duties will include and are not limited to:
- Oversee the day-to-day practice operations and systems
- Identifying and trouble-shooting operational issues
- Provider and Director liaison
- Working closely with the Reception Coordinator
- Lead and support our dedicated (and wonderful!) administrative team
- Bookkeeping- reconciliation and bill management
- Processing payroll, superannuation, BAS and IAS
- Overseeing online claiming processes such as Medicare
- Ensure compliance with current healthcare regulatory requirements
- Maintaining inventory of office supplies and medical equipment
- Serving as the point of contact for patients in relation to addressing concerns and complaints
- Debt Management
The Practice Manager will also be required to assist on the front desk when our receptionists take leave. Tasks include but aren't limited to; meeting and greeting patients, answering of phones, booking appointments, and taking payments.
About you:
- Previous Practice Manager experience, preferably within a healthcare setting
- Previous bookkeeping experience using Xero (preferred Xero experience but not essential)
- High computer literacy
- Genie Solutions medical software experience (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to work independently and a part of a team
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Remuneration:
A salary within the range of $40-45 p/hour + super will be considered for a suitably experienced candidate. The salary offered will take into consideration each candidates recent and relevant experience and skills.
