The Sport and Entertainment team are a specialist unit within Creative Future who understand the power of sport as a key driver for cultural relevance. Our expertise and relationships in the industry help provide clients with the trust and insights required in exploring Sport properties as an alternate to traditional media.

Overview of the Role: 

The Sport and Entertainment Executive will be an essential function of the Sports Partnerships team, providing the necessary administrative support for all account leads and other team members. This role will require a deep understanding across the Australian sporting landscape with the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects, relationships and stakeholders at the same time. They will need to be a collaborative and motivated team player with a high level of attention to detail and willingness to learn from those around you. This role requires occasional weekend work and interstate travel.

Key Relationships:

  • Every person that touches your client’s business
  • Middle Management Client stakeholders
  • Rights Holders across multiple sporting organisations
  • Key project third party stakeholders and suppliers

Responsibilities: 

When thinking about People this role responsibility is to:

  • Meet with your team weekly to get across the priorities using workflow tools to keep you on track
  • Work with the Sport Partnerships Account Mangers and Executives to provide the necessary administrative support relating to client partnership management and delivering contracted benefit entitlements e.g. management of ticketing and hospitality entitlements, liaising with third party suppliers and financial support
  • Work with the Strategy Director to provide the necessary administrative support relating to client projects e.g. desktop research on competitors, date entry and management, insights, and preparing presentations
  • Work closely with the Sport & Entertainment team on any requests
  • Live and breathe the EM behaviours and be a role model of this behaviour 
  • Contribute to and encourage involvement in initiatives that reflect the EM culture 

When thinking about Clients this role responsibility is to:

  • Understand client needs and support Sport & Entertainment team to deliver exceptional client service and maximise client engagement and performance across the entire portfolio
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients and all stakeholders who touch their business
  • Play a support role across major client activity, including onsite activations
  • Join client and rights holder meetings to support Sports Partnership Managers to fulfil best campaign outcomes for your clients
  • Work with wider Sport & Entertainment team in researching, preparing and presenting reports

When thinking about Commercials this role responsibility is to:

  • Take ownership of any invoice queries, ensuring they are resolved or managed, delivering an ongoing best class approach to finance management
  • Assist the Sport and Entertainment team in financial management process including new suppliers, job numbers, raising estimates and purchase orders, campaign budgeting and paying invoices using the correct finance processes
  • Proactively identify and share new opportunities for client growth

When thinking about Product this role responsibility is to:

  • Have a high-level understanding of the different products and services on offer across Creative Futures
  • Work with Sports Partnerships Managers to implement Creative Futures products and services associated with any given campaign
  • Work with the Strategy Director to build a competent understanding of the appropriate strategy tools required to support ongoing research and data management
  • Build strong understanding on the Australian sporting and entertainment landscape and specific rights available within market

When thinking about Process this role responsibility is to:

  • Managing project workflow ensuring that timelines are adhered to and that the output from the team is consistently of high quality
  • Ensure consistent best practice processes are designed and implemented across all elements of the role in providing appropriate administrative support to the wider team
  • Work with Sports Partnerships Director and Sports Partnerships Mangers on appropriate finance processes to relating to specific projects
  • Ability to prioritise and takes ownership of certain tasks

What makes a good Account Coordinator:

  • Has an understanding of what it takes to build solid relationships with internal team members, clients, rights holders and third party suppliers
  • Excellent attention to detail, diligent and organised
  • Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • Confident communicator (ability to adequately represent and communicate different interests to different audiences)
  • Demonstrates an understanding of good presentation skills and reporting capabilities
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure 
  • Has the ability to manage workflow deliverables
  • Understand the importance of the finance process
  • Keeps up with the latest industry news, trends and developments
  • Multi-stakeholder management (entertain divergent perspectives and represent Client and Rights Holders best interests between varying environments i.e., manage Clients expectations with Rights Holder and vice versa)
  • Ability to work autonomously and flexibly (some nighttime and weekends hours required, including occasional interstate travel)
  • Microsoft suite (Excel and PowerPoint in particular)

You Bring:

  • Passion for Sport & Entertainment
  • Sport & Entertainment or general Account Service experience
  • Understanding of Account Management frameworks
  • Familiarity with the Australian sporting and entertainment landscape 
  • New business experience (ideation, pitching, reporting)
  • A willingness to learn and desire to challenge yourself
  • A collaborative approach and a team player attitude
  • A desire to go above and beyond
