The Role

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an Essential Safety Measures Technician to join our SA branch. In this role, you will be required to ensure a wide range of allocated systems, equipment and assets operate in accordance with all manufacturers requirements and in line with relevant Australian Standards, the national construction code, and local statutory requirements. Such equipment might include, but not limited to Emergency & Exit Lighting, Emergency Warning Systems, Fire Alarm and Detection Systems, Fire Blankets, Fire Curtains, Fire Dampers, Fire Doors, Passive Fire, Fire Extinguishers, Fire Hose Reels, Fire Hydrants, Fire Shutters, Smoke Curtains, wet systems, and pumps if trained and competent.

Key Competencies

The successful candidate will possess the following:

• Experience testing and inspecting all sections of AS1851.
• Cert 2 (CPP20521) in fire protection inspection and testing viewed favourably but not essential.
• Ability to work unsupervised in a team environment.
• A thorough understanding of the relevant Australian Standards.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and well presented.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a pleasant phone manner.
• Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Excel and office-based databases 
• Be willing to undergo a national police background check.
• Be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
