Moin Morris Schaefer is a growing and dynamic general practice law firm with offices in 4 locations in Northern NSW. We are looking for a Solicitor to join our Mid-North Coast team and work in both our Port Macquarie and Laurieton offices.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team of passionate lawyers in an expanding and progressive regional law firm. This position is designed to attract someone with experience in Estate Planning and Estate Litigation experience, to work alongside our dedicated team and grow their practice.
Skills and Experience
The ideal applicant for this position has:
- 3 + years post admission experience
- Experience in Estate Planning. Experience in complex Estate Planning would be highly regarded
- Experience in Estate Litigation. Experience in civil litigation will also be looked upon favourably
- Experience in Property Law and/or Commercial Law will be looked upon favourably
- Excellent legal drafting skills and corresponds in plain, clear and concise language
- A confident Court manner and is eager to grow their skills as an advocate
- A desire to produce high level work and achieve practical outcomes for clients
- Strong relationship building skills and motivation to grow their client base
- Strong dispute resolution skills
- Desire to grow and learn from more senior staff
- Strong work ethic and highly motivated
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- An analytical mindset
- Some familiarity with LEAP, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Excel
- High attention to detail and effective communication
The role will be reporting to a Principal and will have the opportunity to receive guidance and mentoring from a number of highly experienced practitioners to ensure their continued growth and learning in these areas of law.
