Role Summary
We are looking for a positive and proactive Estimating Team Leader to support and manage the bid pursuit team and sales cycle for the growing portfolio of Perfect Group projects. Reporting to the Group Bid Director, this role coordinates the sales pursuit activity of the Estimating Team to ensure completion as per schedule, on time and on budget. This person takes a lead through all stages from estimation to close out, working closely with the Bid Manager and with our team, clients, suppliers, and contractors. This role contributes directly to the delivery of projects aligned to the company's growth ambitions, values and commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages day-to-day performance of a small team of estimators preparing estimates for demolition projects.
- Contributes personally to estimating work, including leading estimating effort for major demolition projects.
- Prepares site investigation reports, demolition designs and management plans, and facilitates verification through third-party consultants.
- Contributes to tender and contract negotiation and scope development working closely with estimators, bid management and leadership.
- Maintains positive relationships with our clients, liaising and ensuring clear communication with all project stakeholders.
- Proactively provides technical advice, support and problem solving, applying proven forecasting and analytical ability to monitor productivity and cost.
- Demonstrates a commitment to safety, and compliance, managing all technical documentation, and ITP Management in line with Perfect’s Integrated Management System.
- Initiates project establishment and maintains presence on all projects to ensure the work is on schedule, and the site is safely managed and changing resource requirements, work progress, changes in scope and cost are regularly reported to leadership.
- Manages adherence of all WHS, Sustainability and Environmental aspects, following all quality, work health and safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Always maintains a focus on the safety of all individuals on site on all projects.

Knowledge & Experience
- 2+ years’ experience working in major construction/infrastructure projects delivery
- Preferred experience in Civil Engineering and Demolition
- Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering required, and preferably also in Project Management
- Solid knowledge of the engineering industry and Australian Standards
- Experience in contract administration and management
- Proficient in project management software, ERP systems and platforms
