An exciting opportunity exists, to work for an Australian-owned civil contractor and piling & foundation specialist as an integral member of the team on a variety of projects.
As an Estimation Engineer you will be responsible for the following:
Review of tender documents and compilation of ground model.
Participate in meetings with Clients and Consultants as required.
Carry out assessments and provide tendering input and support for developing ground engineering solutions and methodologies.
Compilation of quantities and estimation of costs and program using in-house systems.
Participate in handover to the operations teams during project startup phase.
Participate in the preparation and implementation of the project plans, including HSEQ.
Undertake site visits and actively obtain feedback from site operations.
You will need to have the following qualifications and skills:
Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering
Have 5-10 years’ or more experience in the relevant civil engineering / ground engineering sector
Have an active interest in technical and operational aspects of complex civil / geotechnical / piling / ground improvement works
Ability to work through technical documents, drawings, specifications, and accurately compile tenders
Be organised and pro-actively seek advice and review
People, mentoring and management skills
Excellent communication skills
Work well in both a team environment as well as alone
Have a quality and safety focus
Extensive experience with site operations and know-how in the ground engineering / piling sector
Local experience and knowledge of Australian Standards and Codes of Practice
