About the role
As an Estimation Systems Specialist you are responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving TasNetworks’ Regulated Network Program of Work (PoW) Estimation Systems and processes. This is both a challenging and rewarding role, paving the way, and making a meaningful impact on our estimation practices.
You will lead the estimation of both standard and bespoke projects and your objective will be to enable best practice program and project estimation. You will also need to collaborate with various stakeholders and ensure alignment in the development and implementation of estimation standards across the business.
Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to, providing expert advice on Estimation Systems, analysing program/project performance data for continuous improvement of estimation and standard work models, and building and maintaining estimation platforms and tools in collaboration with the Digital Solutions team.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of large corporate Enterprise Resource Planning platforms and Estimation Systems, including experience in their configuration and application.
You will have a sound understanding of program and project estimation principles and how information systems support said principles and possess -
- Highly developed communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to persuade and influence
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure and with complex and changing competing priorities
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with complex data and information
- Knowledge of the energy industry and the regulatory environment is highly desirable
- Experience with change management or continuous improvement
