Estimator - Commercial Projects

We are seeking for an experienced Estimator to join our growing team and busy pipeline of projects. You will be responsible for estimating the costs of fit-out and refurbishment projects. The role is based in our office, in vibrant Leederville.

The Role:

• Review tender documentation and calculate costings for submissions
• Analyse qualitative and quantitative data for tenders
• Provide expert estimating advise for the tender and assist the Bid Manager with compiling tender proposals, expression of interest and budgets
• Follow HSEQ procedures in line with the company’s ISO accredited management system
• Coordinating and continually working with all parties to ensure the best possible commercial outcome is achieved
• Identify and maximise cost saving opportunities
• Coordinating and conducting Handover meetings with the Projects team after award
• Ensure a high level of communication and collaboration with the client, designers, subcontractors, and our team

Skills and experience:

• A minimum of 3 years of commercial construction experience in Estimating or Quantity Surveying
• Have estimated and tendered for projects valued up to $10Million
• Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Construction Engineering
• Work closely with the Bid Manager and Pre Contracts Manager and other Estimators 
• Excellent time management and prioritizing skills for a diverse and challenging workload
• Excellent communication skills with an eye for detail and be flexible and proactive
• Proficient in MS Office and Estimating Software
• Previous experience in using Buildsoft and Estimating One will be highly advantageous
