A major state government in Subiaco are seeking a Project Director, Commercial and Legal, to advise the State on ensuring the highly complex procurement, commercial, legal, contract management and project services. This opportunity is being offered on an initial 6-month temporary contract, with a possibility of extension.Your new role
The Project Director Commercial and Legal will advise the State on ensuring that the highly complex procurement, commercial, legal, contract management and project services are managed. The role will provide strategic direction and effective leadership to the Commercial, Legal and Contract team and all project partners. Your duties will include:
- Leading in the planning and delivery of a major infrastructure project
- Leading key procurement, commercial, legal and contract management services
- Make recommendations on the procurement strategy and develop and implement the Project Procurement Plan.
- Ensure the project is managed in accordance with all applicable standards, regulations, guidelines, and conditions.
- Under delegated authority, enter into planning, design and construction contracts as required.
- Liaise closely with all key stakeholders to ensure a joint and coordinated approach to project delivery, contract management, according to established contract and procurement frameworks and instruments
What you'll need to succeed
The role requires someone with prior experience in leading the delivery of major building and infrastructure projects in the Health industry, in the public and or private sector. Extensive demonstrated experience in project management, procurement, commercial and legal matters pertaining to capital works delivery. Tertiary qualifications in supporting disciplines to the delivery of major capital works is desirable. In addition, you will demonstrate:
The ability to provide forward-thinking and clearly articulated strategic direction to control team performance to deliver outcomes in accordance with project time, cost, and quality targets.
The professional expertise to lead the project team, inspire high performance, and manage this major infrastructure project from project initiation to handover.
The ability to build and sustain strong working relationships, with both internal and external stakeholders, facilitate cooperation and establish cross-agency partnerships.
