We now have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Ethics & Start-Up Specialist to join our Start-Up team and help to transition and develop clinical research projects. 


Your Role in Our Future

Our Start-Up team acts as the key liaison with all external regulatory/Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) bodies and vendors prior to the commencement of clinical trials. Working closely and with the support of the Start-Up Lead, in this role you will be responsible for reviewing business development bids from our sponsors and external vendors transitioning them into clinical research projects with a focus on ethics, standards and procedures ensuring all successful bids meet ethical compliance in Australia. 

A full list of responsibilities can be found in the job description however some of your duties will include;

  • Conduct pre-start trial meetings to ensure projects are handed over successfully to project teams.
  • Maintain strong and positive relationships with external stakeholders including Sponsors/Contract Research Organisations and Vendors.
  • Manage trials for ethics compliance by ensuring protocol amendments and ongoing report requirements are met.
  • Coordinate start-up document management, including collating all essential documents required to be included in the relevant investigator site files.

This role will be based at our offices in Nedlands and will be offered on a full-time basis. 


Your Experience

The successful applicant will have a Tertiary qualification in a related field (Science, Health or Project Management) along with demonstrated experience working in a clinical trial environment. Along with this, your application must also be able to demonstrate the following;

  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders with strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Advanced organisational skills with proven ability to work across multiple projects and towards multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, high-pressure environment and adapt effectively to change.
  • High level attention to detail and organisational skills.
